Brake Hub Simulation

This presentation documents an ANSYS FEA I conducted on an aluminum brake hub, comparing ideal (line-on-line) vs. clearance-fit conditions to validate whether a reduced hex size (1.193" → 1.022") could survive braking loads.  The real-world hub confirmed the simulation's prediction by wallowing out just after the designed 18-hour lifespan.
